About Me

I am a leather-crafter who hand-tools various designs, which I draw myself, onto different leather items I hand-make. I use various leather crafting tools to give my designs the desired look which I hope to achieve. I use various stains and dyes to give my leather projects a more "colorful" look. I have also recently discovered that I really love using acrylic paints on some of my work to help certain designs in my projects to stand out more.

I created this blog page mainly to share my ever-growing passion for leather-crafting with others and to share my work. However, if you have any questions or comments about my work, please feel free to comment or send a message! I don't generally use my blogs as a means to sell my projects, however, I do occasionally sell my work when I have someone interested. If you are interested in purchasing one of my projects, please send me a message.

I often get asked what started my interest in leather-crafting. I can remember way back when I was a kid, always being fascinated by such amazing leather work, especially those on saddles. Being someone who grew up around horses, I was around many things made out of leather from bridles, halters, saddles, and reins. I developed a great appreciation for the beautiful designs that could be tooled into leather. Not to mention, I also LOVE smell of leather!

I finally set my foot in the door in the world of leather-crafting a couple of years ago after I watched a show on t.v. about how leather-tooling is done. I became very fascinated by this and began researching about the various tools used in leather-tooling and how to make different leather projects. My very first "leather project" I did, was made using a pocket knife and a flat head screw driver on an old piece of scrap leather. I knew this wasn't the way to do it, but I so badly wanting to try leather-tooling. Over the last couple of years, I began collecting the appropriate tools and leather I needed to do leather-tooling.

I don't claim to be a pro and I am still learning to better myself as a leather-crafter but I read and research on leather-crafting as much as possible. I hope you enjoy my page and I welcome any and all suggestions everyone may have!
